Literally the same words "not compatible with business plan". That suggests that there is some cohort of peeps on Sand Hill Road that have that as a bullet point to impose on funded companies.
A few years later I was at at an O'Reilly IT conference, saw another different cool demo, asked the same q of that different founder/CTO, and literally got the same answer "Our VCs killed that, not compatible with business plan".
