Every year, I rediscover that hand coding a Perl script that takes a CSV file and spits out a PostScript file laid out in a label grid is easier than trying to to get the trash fire that office suite "easy to use" mailmerge software to work.

What is wrong with the people who design this stuff? How hard can this be? It should be as simple as "point at spreadsheet, then select Avery label code, optionally select typeface, default is Helvetica, get PDF", right?
